A Sales Engineer – Low Current (ELV/ICT) Systems is responsible for driving business growth by identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and promoting technical solutions related to Extra Low Voltage and ICT systems. This role combines technical expertise with sales ability, enabling the engineer to understand customer needs, recommend suitable system solutions, and convert opportunities into successful projects or supply contracts.

The Sales Engineer acts as the key link between customers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal technical teams. The role requires a strong understanding of ELV and ICT systems, market needs, project cycles, and commercial strategy. The engineer is expected to generate leads, manage inquiries, prepare quotations and technical offers, follow up with customers, and support the full sales process from initial contact through negotiation and closing.

The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Structured Cabling, Networking, Public Address, Intercom, AV, Data Infrastructure, and integrated low current solutions, along with the ability to communicate value to clients and achieve sales targets.
Description
The Sales Engineer – Low Current (ELV/ICT) Systems is responsible for expanding the company’s customer base and increasing revenue by selling low current and ICT solutions to clients in commercial, industrial, residential, and government sectors.

The role begins with identifying potential clients, consultants, contractors, and projects in the market. The engineer actively approaches prospects, understands their requirements, introduces the company’s products and services, and builds strong long-term business relationships. The Sales Engineer is expected to manage both new business development and existing account growth.

A major part of the role involves reviewing customer inquiries, project documents, and technical requirements, then coordinating internally with pre-sales, estimation, and engineering teams to prepare suitable technical and commercial proposals. The engineer ensures that proposed solutions match client expectations, project specifications, applicable standards, and budget constraints.

The position requires regular meetings with customers, consultants, and contractors to present solutions, explain technical benefits, conduct product demonstrations where needed, and address concerns during the evaluation and decision-making process. The Sales Engineer is also expected to follow up closely on quotations, negotiate pricing and contract terms within company guidelines, and work toward successful order confirmation.

In addition, the role includes monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies in ELV and ICT systems. The engineer should continuously seek new project opportunities, maintain an updated sales pipeline, and provide accurate sales forecasts and progress reports to management.

The Sales Engineer may also support collection follow-up, project coordination after sales award, and customer satisfaction efforts to ensure repeat business and strong client retention.

Requirements
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Additional technical or vendor certifications in ELV, networking, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, or ICT systems are highly preferred.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, account management, or technical sales for ELV and ICT systems.
Proven track record in selling low current systems, ICT infrastructure, or integrated security solutions.
Experience dealing with contractors, consultants, end users, and project stakeholders.
Experience in project sales, tender-based sales, and solution-oriented sales is preferred.
Familiarity with the Saudi / GCC market is a strong advantage.
Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of ELV and ICT systems and their applications.
Good knowledge of integrated low current systems including security, safety, communication, and network infrastructure.
Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
Familiarity with reading technical documents such as:

BOQs

Tender documents
Knowledge of major brands, manufacturers, and system components in ELV and ICT sectors.
Awareness of local standards, authority requirements, and market practices.
Good understanding of solution configuration, system architecture, and commercial implications.
Software Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with AutoCAD for basic drawing review is preferred.
Experience with CRM systems, ERP systems, or sales tracking tools is an advantage.
Knowledge of networking tools or design tools is a plus.
